BOX BASE COFFEE TABLE

Consistently present in acrylic designs, refracting light plays through this simple yet eye-catching piece to stunning, crystal-like effect. A bevelled acrylic top has been chosen here, instead of the more common glass top which blocks out so much of the light with its masking green tint.

Although this example uses a three-quarter inch top and one-and-a-half inch acrylic in the base, the normal rule holds true for this piece as with all the rest: The thicker the acrylic, the richer the overall effect. Try it thicknesses of up to two inches. And again, change the shape from square to rectangular. The imagination is the only restriction.
